Many creative people loved and lived in Cornwall.
Cornwall has always been a magnet to creative people - whether they are Cornish born or drawn to the Cornish way of life.
Environment can help mould a child into a writer or an artist, but the seed of imagination must first be planted by hereditary factors, then fertilized, nurtured and fed from the same source .... so did you know that the Mother of the Bronte sisters was a Cornish woman from Penzance called Maria Branwell but she died when the children were small then her sister Elizabeth Branwell (from Penzance) came to take her place and minister to the Bronte household. With a Cornish Mother and a Cornish Aunt to instruct them in their most formative years, this heritage played an undoubted part in their development and later genius.
